Недавно только узнал что chmod права папок и файлов на фтп можно менять через total commander. До этого думал они меняются только через файл-менеджер админки сайта. Для меня это вообще открытие, ведь на столько легче становится менять chmod. Наверняка есть еще те, кто не в курсе, поэтому описываю. Открываете Total Commander, заходите в фтп, выделяете нужный файл или файлы правый кнопкой, жмете file -> change attributes.
Кстати, когда вордпресс ставите, не нужно руками менять wp-config.php если не хотите проблем с кодировкой, просто ставьте права 777 на папку public html на фтп, и вордпресс сам создаст ее.

Total Commander 7 правая кнопка вообще неактивна. А с панели инструментов"Изменить атрибуты" нет и близко CHMOD. Простые атрибуты типа как при нажатии в контекстном меню Windows пункта "Свойства".
